Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Painter to join our team at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and condition of our property through high-quality painting services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform painting services to maintain the overall appearance and condition of the property.
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, patching, and priming.
  • Apply paints and coatings to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Repair torn or loose wall coverings and sand and prep wood surfaces for stain and clear coat.
  • Select and mix paints to match colors and ensure adherence to applicable safety standards.
  • Set up and clean up work areas, ensuring all painting equipment and supplies are properly maintained.
  • Assess and prepare surfaces to ensure proper paint adherence.
  • Comply with safety regulations while handling and disposing of paints, solvents, and other hazardous materials.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent in appropriate experience.
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Two or more years' experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to work scheduled hours, including holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to lift 75lbs.
  • Lifting, bending, twisting, reaching, crouching, and crawling throughout the course of the job.
  • Being on your feet for an extended period of time.
