A leading banking services company in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Counterparty Credit Risk Manager - Governance & Strategy.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and maintain gap analysis of the firm's counterparty credit risk framework against regulatory requirements.
  • Review New Product Committee memos and provide counterparty credit risk comments to ensure alignment with risk appetite.
  • Monitor risk appetite statements and key risk indicators to identify potential areas of concern.
  • Drive discussions to enhance the risk appetite statement, key risk indicators, and formalize approvals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to track, prioritize, and resolve counterparty credit risk issues.
  • Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to enhance and finalize stress testing scenarios.
  • Lead projects and strategic initiatives to continuously enhance the counterparty credit risk framework and implement a target operating model.
  • Represent the counterparty credit risk team in firm-wide initiatives and participate in user acceptance testing.
  • Facilitate discussions among stakeholders to address counterparty credit risk-related items.
  • Lead discussions and facilitate material for internal or external exams.
  • Liaise with various groups within Capital Markets to resolve credit exposure-related issues.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in counterparty credit risk, market risk, and/or other risk-related functions.
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Physics, and/or Statistics.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Capital Markets, derivatives products, and derivatives valuation/PFE calculation.
  • Solid understanding of xVA calculations such as CVA, DVA, FVA, KVA, MVA, etc.
  • Strong IT skills required - Power BI, Excel, Python, etc.
  • Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organized.

Desired Skills:
  • Progress towards CFA and/or FRM certification.
