Job Title: Fatherhood Specialist

El Paso Center for Children is seeking a skilled Fatherhood Specialist to promote responsible fatherhood and support families in our community.

Job Summary

The Fatherhood Specialist will work with fathers and families to provide education, support, and resources to help them build strong, healthy relationships and become effective parents.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement evidence-based programs and services to promote responsible fatherhood and parenting skills.
  2. Provide individual and group counseling, education, and support to fathers and families.
  3. Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to identify and address the needs of fathers and families.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and residents to promote the Center's services and programs.
  5. Participate in ongoing program planning, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure the success of the Fatherhood Program.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator or designated personnel.
Requirements
  • Minimum of an associate's degree (or at least two years of college) and one year of relevant program experience, with a focus on training or facilitating groups.
  • Experience directly working with youth or families in social services or education may substitute each year of experience for a year of higher education.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish (preferred).
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite of business applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate effectively with individuals from all walks of life.
  • Must have driver's license, vehicle in safe operating condition, and maintain proof of current insurance at Texas minimum standards.
  • Must be able and willing to travel for trainings/meetings/conferences.
  • Must be able to walk, sit, stand, and lift and carry at least 25 pounds.
