Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Medical City McKinney. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.
Job Summary:Under the supervision of the nurse manager, the Registered Nurse provides holistic, individualized patient care in response to emergent, identified needs. Additional functions will be performed in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and ENA standards in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.
Responsibilities:- Quickly access and prioritize incoming patients
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and stabilize patients
- Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN's scope of practice and in accordance with established policies
- Provide patient education / follow-up care instructions and make necessary referrals
- Minimum (1) year of acute care RN experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Satori Alternatives Management Aggregate must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Texas or compact license
- BSN or current enrollment in a Baccalaureate Nursing Program
Medical City McKinney is a 285+ bed acute care hospital serving the residents of McKinney and northern Collin County. Our main campus is a Level III Trauma Center, and we provide emergency services at our main campus and at Medical City ER Stonebridge. We have cardiovascular and neurological services, general surgery, orthopedics, and women's services, as well as a Level II neonatal intensive care unit and behavioral health services. Medical City McKinney is a Primary Stroke Center and a stroke rehabilitation center, certified by The Joint Commission for total hip and total knee replacement.
