Certified Nursing Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Premier Healthcare Service. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing outstanding patient care and physical support to patients and residents on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including bathing, dressing, and assisting with daily activities.
  • Answer patient calls and determine the best course of action to assist them.
  • Assist patients with physical support, including turning and repositioning bedridden patients.
  • Ensure patients receive appropriate diet by reviewing dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences.
  • Obtain information from physicians, caregivers, and nurses about patient conditions, treatment plans, and suggested activities.
  • Measure and record food and liquid intake, urinary and fecal output, and report changes to medical or nursing staff.
  • Record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate as requested by staff.
  • Examine patients to detect issues requiring medical care, including open wounds, bruises, or blood in the urine.
  • Remind patients to take medications and nutritional supplements.
  • Document observations of patient behavior, including complaints or physical symptoms to nurses.
Requirements:
  • State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.
  • Current CPR (American Heart Association) certification.
  • Nursing degree from a CNA program.
  • Ability to think and work independently and with direction, and communicate with staff members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Current identification.
  • Comfortable using a computer.
  • Excellent personal hygiene.

We offer a variety of shifts, including 6:45am-3:15pm, 2:45pm-11:15pm, and 10:45am-7:15pm. Serious inquiries only. Please note that all shifts are needed.
