Job Overview

TEEMA is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in a school setting. As a key member of our team, you will work with children aged K—12 who require special needs support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess students' motor and sensory abilities in a safe and controlled environment.
  • Collaborate with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team to develop and implement therapy programs tailored to each child's needs.
  • Design, implement, and document strategies, reports, and behavioral assessments to support student progress.
  • Develop and adapt occupational therapy strategies and intervention plans to meet specific goals and objectives for students, staff, and classrooms.
  • Modify and coordinate the learning environment, technology, and training to accommodate individual student needs.
  • Supervise certified assistants in the delivery of occupational therapy services.
  • Work closely with in-class teachers and paraeducators to provide support and resources for students in the classroom.
  • Participate in meetings with teachers, paraeducators, and parents as required.
  • May be required to travel between schools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • National Certification (NBCOT).
  • Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Washington.
  • Background check and fingerprinting required.
