Overview

Novant Health is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician I-Certified to join our Home Delivery Pharmacy team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering optimal medication management across all dimensions of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process, prepare, and fill prescriptions with precision and accuracy
  • Perform non-sterile compounding and repackaging with attention to detail
  • Provide exceptional customer service through effective communication and phone handling
  • Utilize point-of-sale systems to support customer needs
  • Ensure timely and accurate shipping of medications
  • Demonstrate proficiency with equipment and software
  • Process prescriptions in a timely manner to meet patient needs
  • Receive and accurately transcribe orders from prescribers under pharmacist supervision
  • Utilize EPIC/Patient Management system to review and process prescription information
  • Support inventory management and maintain accurate records

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year Associate Degree preferred
  • One year of relevant experience preferred; Associate's Degree in Pharm Tech includes experience
  • Current registry with applicable State Board(s) of Pharmacy required
  • PTCB or NHA Certification within 60 days of hire or proof of enrollment in pharmacy school/FPGEE/FPGEC required
Additional Skills
  • Considerable knowledge of medication names, doses, routes of administration, and adverse effects
  • Ability to demonstrate patient interview skills and strong written and communication skills with healthcare professionals
