Intermediate IT Specialist

**About the Job:**

This position is located in the Administrative and Data Capture Programming Unit, Programming Section, Information Technology Support Branch (ITSB) of the U.S. Census Bureau's National Processing Center (NPC) in Jeffersonville, Indiana. We are looking for a skilled developer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing logical schemes and coding moderate routines and detailed sequences of internal program logic.
• Testing and debugging programs to ensure they meet specifications or conventions.
• Collaborating with customers and other IT specialists to understand functional aspects of projects.
• Providing technical guidance and support to users of the developed applications.
• Participating in the research and development of new technologies and advising management on their relevance to the required specialty.

Requirements:

• A minimum of one year of specialized experience in developing intermediate-level logical programs, analysis and testing of programs, and communication with customers and other IT specialists.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management may be substituted for up to 2 years of experience.
