We are seeking a highly skilled Technical IT Specialist to join our team at Ocean Computer Group, a leading provider of IT solutions and integration services.

As a Senior Network Engineer and Virtualization Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft and VMware technologies, as well as providing pre-sales and post-sales assistance, training, and supporting clients and their networks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft, Networking, Security, or Office 365, with a minimum of 5 years' experience and a 2-year degree or vocational certification. Certifications such as VMWare VCP, Dell/IBM, CNA, or similar, and MSCE are desired.

You will work closely with customer staff and collaborate with other IT staff to plan and implement future IT developments and undertake project work. Excellent customer interaction skills are essential, as you will be interacting with clients and providing technical support.

We offer a competitive salary, medical benefits, 401k, paid vacation time, and training opportunities. The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, based on location and experience.

This role involves:

  • Installing, supporting, and maintaining new server hardware and software infrastructure
  • Installing and migrating Exchange to Exchange or Office 365 and Active Directory
  • Installing, supporting Dell and IBM servers and SANs, working knowledge of iSCSI
  • Installation, upgrades, and support for VMware and Hyper-V environments
  • Installation and support of SonicWall and other major vendor network equipment and firewalls
  • Managing email, anti-spam, and virus protection, setting up user accounts, permissions, and passwords
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting network usage/issues/outages
  • Ensuring the most cost-effective and efficient use of servers
