Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer for High-Performance Gaming to join our team at Qualcomm. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in game development and software engineering to drive innovation in the gaming industry.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing visual fidelity, responsiveness, functionality, performance, and power of game applications for mobile, computer, XR, console, auto, and cloud products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Game Development, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Game Development, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Game Development, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant Gaming experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional experience.
  • Comfortable working in large unfamiliar C/C++ codebases.
  • Experience developing source-level game engine features/optimizations.
  • Strong 3D graphics related mathematics background.
  • Expertise with Vulkan, DirectX, OpenGL, or OpenGL ES.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience shipping at least one commercial PC or console game.
  • Familiarity with 3D graphics profilers and debuggers such as Snapdragon Profiler, RenderDoc, Pix, NSight, etc...
  • Familiar with modern PC/console game engine architectures.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $162,600 - $244,000 per year, plus a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants.
