Position Overview:
Location: Reliant Medical Group, a part of Optum
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Specialty: Family Practice
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination areas and ensure medical equipment is properly sterilized.
- Assist patients by obtaining health histories and measuring vital signs.
- Utilize electronic medical record systems to document patient care.
- Conduct phlebotomy, urinalysis, and manage patient specimen samples.
- Administer medications and perform injections/immunizations.
- Support healthcare providers with minor in-office procedures and execute point-of-care testing.

Required Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) or a commitment to obtain certification shortly after starting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active medical assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA).
- CPR certification.
- Experience as a Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
- Background in performing medical back-office tasks, including vital signs, injections/immunizations, phlebotomy, urinalysis, and medication administration.
Employment Requirements: Proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases is mandatory.
