Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sound Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing in-house audio, video, and lighting support for concert programming and events. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Operate concert and event audio, lighting, and video as scheduled with the production manager
  • Adapt to colleague requests and fellow staff feedback for technical show requirements
  • Participate in the oversight of AV gear security, maintenance, organization, and inventory of all AV equipment
  • Maintain, protect, organize, and inventory all relevant equipment and work with the General Manager on any departmental needs
  • Work with tour managers and clients to ensure all AV needs are met on the day of the show and adapt as needed
  • Oversee set up of tech needs as required for various spaces within the venue
  • Act as the primary point of contact for artists and management upon arrival at City Winery
  • Ensure spaces occupied by talent are clean and set with hospitality as per the rider prior to artist arrival
  • Manage pre-show stage lighting and in-show lighting to ensure a dynamic and engaging experience
  • Facilitate proper pre-show announcements and coordinate house lights for show level
  • Manage and coordinate run of the show, including sound check timing, start of show timing, and house and stage lighting
  • Program, operate, and maintain all building lighting systems
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in live sound and events production mixing audio, lighting, and video
  • Prior experience and full comprehension of mixing audio on the Yamaha sound platform is required
  • Must be comfortable mixing both front-of-house audio and monitors, from the FOH console with the help of an iPad
  • High integrity, reliable work ethic, and unparalleled passion for hospitality, food, wine, and music
  • Professional and effective communication skills
  • Superior organization skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
  • Must have proficient computer and technological skills
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling weights of at least 70 pounds
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
