We are seeking a skilled Lift Station Technician to join our team at Wind River Environmental LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing service and repair to sewage pump stations, ensuring the efficient operation of our non-hazardous liquid waste systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance, replacement, and repair of lift station equipment, including electrical and plumbing tasks.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance.
- Assist in the installation, cleaning, maintenance, repair, and rebuild of mechanical equipment found in sewerage pump stations.
- Conduct diagnostic tests to determine operating efficiency of equipment and prepare reports to document findings.
- Maintain and repair electrical control panels to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Respond to trouble alarms during normal working hours and after hours, providing prompt and effective resolution to ensure minimal disruption to our customers.
- Work in confined spaces, such as manholes and wet wells, to perform maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to enter and work in confined spaces up to 40 feet below ground, as defined by OSHA regulations.
- Lift and move up to 65 pounds, with the ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to understand instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, and to read and interpret documents, including Company policies and procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, maps, and road signs.
- Ability to speak, cooperate, and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and management.
- Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines, with basic computer literacy, including email and internet skills.
- Ability to perform basic math functions and to meet the physical demands of the position.
- Two or more years of experience performing lift station maintenance and repairs, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
