Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Roper St. Francis. As a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient clinical history and lab work, ensuring accurate documentation for licensed practitioners.
  • Position and immobilize patients for optimal imaging, respecting their comfort and ability.
  • Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure for patients, self, and others.
  • Perform radiographic procedures using imaging equipment and accessories, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Verify informed consent and complete pre and post-procedure documentation.
  • Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures, applying aseptic surgical techniques as needed.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and document patient dose exposures.
  • Interact professionally with physicians, technologists, hospital staff, patient family members, and patients.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred).
  • Certification and Registration with ARRT (required).
  • State licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed).
  • BLS Basic Life Support, American Heart Association (required at hire for Roper St Francis Healthcare locations).
Working Conditions
