Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at Atrium Health. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our radiology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview patients to obtain a complete medical history and review electronic medical records to gather pertinent clinical information.
  • Record medical history on requisitions and correlate test results with exam procedures.
  • Evaluate image quality and consult with radiologists as needed.
  • Inform nursing personnel of any changes in patient condition and assist in code blue procedures during medical emergencies.
  • Perform MRI scanning and assist physicians during invasive procedures.
  • Operate radiology computer systems and document contrast administration.
  • Maintain knowledge of MRI safety requirements and adhere to hospital fire and safety procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of medical imaging principles and practices. You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain accurate records. Additionally, you must be authorized to obtain medication or contrast material as directed by a licensed practitioner.
