As a Research Scientist I, you will engage in scientific investigations within a laboratory setting, focusing on research and experimentation for various purposes, including academic, industrial, or commercial applications. Your role will be pivotal in developing innovative products and enhancing scientific knowledge in your area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, development, and refinement of new programs, concepts, and prototypes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on research formulation and documentation.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and their potential future applications.
  • Plan, execute, and manage research initiatives, including preparation of reports and presentation of results.
  • Seek funding opportunities to support ongoing research efforts.
  • Mentor and guide junior research scientists as needed.
  • Remain informed about advancements in your field through academic literature, training sessions, and professional conferences.

Education:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant scientific discipline, complemented by appropriate experience (MS with 0-2 years; BS with 0-4 years).

Experience:

• A background in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or Process Engineering is preferred.

• Experience in formulation and processes related to hydrogels and contact lens care is advantageous.

• Strong report writing and communication skills are essential for effective interaction with internal stakeholders.
