Position: Patient Care Technician (PCT)

Compensation:
Base Pay: $22 or $25, depending on availability. Additional differentials available for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding care to residents, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Identifying and reporting any significant changes in resident conditions to the supervising nurse.
  • Assisting residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitoring and recording residents' food and fluid intake accurately.
  • Feeding residents according to their individual care plans.
  • Responding promptly to call lights and requests for assistance.
  • Managing meal trays, including delivery and removal.
  • Ensuring the safety and comfort of residents by adjusting bed rails and positioning.
  • Providing assistance with toileting needs every two hours or as required.
  • Performing various bathing techniques, including tub baths, showers, or bed baths.
  • Repositioning residents in beds and chairs every two hours to prevent discomfort.
  • Emptying and documenting urinary drainage units.
  • Supporting nursing staff with treatment procedures as needed.
  • Changing bed linens for both occupied and unoccupied beds.
  • Measuring and reporting residents' weights accurately.
  • Conducting daily skin inspections and reporting any concerns to the supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum educational requirement: 10th grade.
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must hold a valid Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Massachusetts.
