About the Role

As a Senior SBA Loan Specialist at Northeast Bank, you will be responsible for supporting the origination process of SBA 7a Small Loans. This includes evaluating loan applications via online portal to ensure files meet all bank and SBA credit, eligibility, and risk standards.

We are looking for a motivated and diligent individual with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of performance and leadership, with prior banking experience in loan underwriting, asset management, and/or loan processing preferred.

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive compensation package, generous PTO, and a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate SBA 7a Small Loan applications via online portal to ensure files meet all bank and SBA credit, eligibility, and risk standards.
  • Make credit decision recommendations on straightforward loan applications to the SBA Credit Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Bank's Lender Service Provider (LSP) to address and resolve any credit, eligibility, or documentation issues.
  • Confirm prepared loan documents are accurate and consistent with the approved credit memo.
  • Attend standing meetings with LSP and technology vendor to address any process or platform issues that may arise.
  • Support efforts to respond to various portfolio management or audit inquiries.
  • Successfully pass technical and regulatory examinations as required by the Bank.
