Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Shuttle Driver to join our team at TransForce. As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for transporting passengers and cargo between designated stops on an established route or to and from specific sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate vehicles in accordance with Mass General Brigham policies and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Inspect vehicles at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure operating effectiveness.
  • Report any damage or inoperative equipment to the Supervisor or designee immediately.
  • Maintain the interior of the vehicle while under operator's control.
  • Document numbers of passengers, trips completed, items delivered, or other information as requested.
  • Conduct yourself in accordance with all applicable hospital policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Transport passengers in a safe and courteous fashion between designated stops on an established route or to and from specific sites.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers on the vehicle.
  • Assist passengers with disabilities or those needing assistance to board and alight from the vehicle.
  • Maintain schedule and established routes.
  • Use discretion to deviate from prescribed routes when environmental conditions and/or special events create traffic congestion.
Requirements
  • Current valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL), Class B with Airbrakes and passenger endorsement.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Must fill out a Drivers Record Release Form.
  • Must be willing to obtain a DOT Medical card through Occupational Health.
  • Must maintain current training status in the transportation of Hazardous Materials, Uniform Precautions, and Fire and Safety.
  • Must report for duty drug-free and remain drug-free during tour of duty.
  • Good customer service/communication skills.
