Key Responsibilities:
- Quality and Compliance: Utilize established criteria to determine medical necessity and level of care for admissions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
- Collaboration and Partnership: Work closely with clinical teams, including physicians and patient care services, to coordinate patient admissions and ensure timely bed placement.
- Communication and Coordination: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to gather necessary information and facilitate the admission process.
- Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Analyze complex patient scenarios and make informed decisions regarding level of care and admission status.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in general or specialty nursing practice
- Diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree from an accredited RN program
- Current and unrestricted Louisiana RN license
