Job Summary

Waev Inc is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks as assigned, including preparing or building up vehicle parts, sub-systems, and components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely Operate Equipment: Safely use and operate various tools including power tools, hoists, and production equipment.
  • Accurate Record Keeping: Accurately complete paperwork required for production records.
  • Process Adherence: Ability to read, understand, and follow established processes and instructions.
  • Team Collaboration: Perform duties assigned by Supervisor and/or Group Leader.
  • Quality Focus: Maintain a consistent pace throughout the shift with focus on quality (i.e., within applicable quality standards).
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement process.
  • Overtime and Attendance: Work overtime as required and mandated by production schedules. Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting and Pushing: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Mobility and Flexibility: Ability to bend, twist, turn, kneel, and squat. Stand and walk for the duration of assigned shift and reach overhead continuously.
  • Tool Operation: Use air/power/vibrating tools and do strong, pincher gripping.
  • Work Environment: Work safely around moving equipment, power tools, and industrial vehicles.
  • Repetitive Motion: Repetitive use of upper extremities.
Requirements:
  • Basic Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Tool Familiarity: Basic knowledge of power, air, torque, and manual tools.
  • Mechanical Understanding: Understanding of Mechanical and Assembly concepts.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Prior manufacturing assembly experience preferred.
