As a Pharmacy Technician at Community Health Centers, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacies. Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for assisting with prescription filling, billing, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:- Prescription Processing: Enter patient information, including insurance coverage and prescriptions, into the pharmacy software.
- Insurance Claims: Submit insurance claims and follow up on rejections to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Labeling and Inventory: Type labels neatly and accurately, and count and measure medications correctly to maintain inventory levels.
- Cash and Insurance Transactions: Complete cash and insurance transactions accurately, and collect payments from patients and third-party payers.
- Supply Management: Clean and maintain supplies in the pharmacy, and receive and process vendor orders.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Assist with pharmacy compliance to applicable statutory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: One year of retail experience preferred.
- Certification/Licensure: Registered as a Pharmacy Technician by the Florida Board of Pharmacy, and certified as a Pharmacy Technician by PTCB or NHA preferred.
- Special Skills: Bilingual English/Spanish helpful.
