POSITION SUMMARY:

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) plays a crucial role in the rehabilitation process by assisting Physical Therapists (PTs) in executing tailored treatment plans for patients. The PTA will receive direction and oversight from the PT, ensuring that all tasks align with the assistant's level of training and expertise.

Starting Salary: $22.976

The starting salary is reflective of the current market rate. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Salary structures may be adjusted in response to market dynamics and organizational needs.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid State of Hawaii PTA licensure.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Completion of all necessary competencies and job-related prerequisites.

Education:

  • Graduation from a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by CAPTE of APTA or an equivalent institution.
  • Successful completion of a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants.

Skills/Experience:

  • Proficient in managing patient mobility with safety and effectiveness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Commitment to providing safe and effective patient care.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in a healthcare setting with direct patient interaction.

  • Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Membership in the Hawaii Physical Therapy Association.
