Job Summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular, and cardiac procedures, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Review patient medical records to obtain necessary clinical information, including patient history, lab results, and physician orders.
  • Position patients and select proper transducers and technical factors for accurate ultrasound procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information, and communicate findings to physicians, providing accurate and timely results.
  • Maintain accurate records, including patient and study information, and document billing codes for procedures performed.
Requirements
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) within 3 months.
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) within 3 months.
  • Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) within 3 months.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
Education and Experience
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Sonography, including completion of an accredited or approved program.
  • No experience required.
