Automating Infrastructure and Processes
The DevOps Engineer will focus on internal tooling and automation of infrastructure. Their primary responsibility is to build and maintain internal applications for employees, automate build and deployment pipelines, and maintain AWS services and infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain and Automate Build Pipelines and Infrastructure
- Work with engineering teams to develop internal tools and software to speed up company processes
- Adjust AWS infrastructure as needed for optimal security, performance, redundancy, and alerting
- Maintain existing Firewall and Intrusion detection systems
- Define and develop continuous integration and deployment pipelines
- Build Infrastructure as Code
- Coordinate build and release activities with other stakeholders
- Train and mentor DevOps engineers
- Define and develop automated quality and release gates
- Work with teams to develop code quality metrics and meters
- Couch and train engineering teams on DevOps toolsets
- Identify, research, and prototype new technologies to improve DevOps processes
- Collaborate with various teams and disciplines to promote and develop DevOps best practices
- Manage day-to-day operations of release pipelines, build tools, and source control software and resources
- Perform ongoing maintenance and upgrades of DevOps systems (Production & non-production)
- Troubleshoot and respond to downtime, performance degradation, and external attacks
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience working with AWS technologies
- 5+ years of experience with Windows and Linux-based servers
- 5+ years of scripting languages (Perl, Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
- 3+ years of enterprise networking and security
Preferred Skills:
- 2+ years of experience with Chef, Ansible, Cloudformation, Terraform, Serverless, or similar
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
