Job Summary:

The Security Officer is a vital member of the Cary Medical Center team, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors. This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce and abide by all regulations and security policies/procedures of Cary Medical Center.
  • Enforce parking regulations for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, gathering and analyzing evidence to determine root causes.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with local law enforcement agencies, staying up-to-date on relevant regulations and laws.
  • Accurately document security incidents and daily activities in reports.

Requirements:

  • Law enforcement experience is preferred.
  • A valid Maine Driver's License is required.
  • International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety Basic Security Officer Certification must be obtained within 180 days of hire, with Advanced certification required within 18 months.
