The CNC Tube Setup Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the bending team at Davis Aircraft Products. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills to manage the supply of materials used for bending.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procure and prepare tubing bill of materials in accordance with print requirements and specifications.
- Inspect completed work pieces for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces, and sort defective pieces accordingly.
- Verify conformance to specifications using precision instruments, including micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers.
- Perform swaging, pressure testing, and cleaning/wiping of tubing.
- Assist in the inspection of finished tubes and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Label and package tubes for distribution.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety protocols and best practices.
- Utilize mechanical, computer, and math aptitude to perform tasks effectively.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to comply with ITAR and EAR regulations.
- Competitive starting wages commensurate with experience and skill levels.
- Benefits include 401(k), dental insurance, health insurance, and paid time off.
- Full-time schedule with 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
- Ability to commute to the work location in Bohemia, NY.
