About the Role

Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI) is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Manager to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and evaluate staff activities to ensure high-quality care and support.
  • Develop and implement emergency procedures and respond to crisis situations.
  • Train and supervise new staff to work with individuals served, ensuring active treatment and support.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to resolve staff issues and complete required paperwork.
  • Document formal goals and protocols, and implement behavior plans and annual plans.
  • Evaluate progress and formulate new objectives as needed.
  • Accompany individuals on medical appointments and complete incident reports.
  • Participate in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings and attend staff meetings and annual recertification trainings.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, BA/BS preferred.
  • One year of experience working with developmentally disabled adults, required.
  • Valid NYS driver's license and approved to drive by DDI's Transportation Department.
  • Working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavioral Support.
