We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at VestraCare. As a RN Weekend Warrior, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care on Saturday and Sunday shifts.
Responsibilities:- Work closely with the RN Supervisor to ensure the best possible functions of the assigned unit.
- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Prepare and administer prescribed medications, and record patients' medical information and vital signs.
- Assess patients' ability to perform routine daily tasks and recognize and manage geriatric syndromes common to older adults.
- Prepare equipment and aid physicians during examinations and treatments.
- Communicate with family members regarding patient care and record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely.
- Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 1-year RN experience.
- Strong assessment skills and interpersonal skills.
- Education or experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred.
