Position Overview

The CNC Router Operator is required to possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in setting up, programming, and operating router machinery. A robust mechanical aptitude and exceptional organizational skills, along with the ability to read blueprints accurately, are crucial for success in this role. The materials processed will include various types of aluminum, polycarbonate, and High-Pressure Laminate. This role will report directly to the Shop Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret technical drawings to ascertain dimensional criteria, tolerances, and geometric specifications
  • Conduct setups and establish tool paths for router operations
  • Perform CNC machining of components on MultiCam Router
  • Identify necessary tooling and equipment for assigned tasks
  • Maintain tooling and perform preventative maintenance on machinery as required
  • Operate tow motors and overhead cranes as needed
  • Assist in upholding the highest quality standards for products manufactured by Industrial Profile Systems
  • Carry out additional job-related duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 3 years of CNC router machining experience is mandatory
  • Familiarity with Enroute routing software is advantageous
  • Advanced skills in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Proficient in basic mathematics for measurement and calculations
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong verbal communication abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Well-organized with a keen attention to detail and precision machining
  • Proficient in PC skills within a Windows environment
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and up to 75 lbs with assistance
  • Regularly apply physical mobility (stretching, lifting, bending, twisting, etc.) to complete all assembly-related tasks
