Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at the Hughston Clinic. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and supporting our physical therapists in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer physical therapy treatment programs as supervised and directed by a staff PT.
  • Adhere to the plan of care established by PT for each patient's care.
  • Operate therapeutic equipment and devices as necessary.
  • Document care and other patient information for medical record, including history, treatment, and consultations.
  • Comply with department policies/procedures and regulations related to infection control and billing procedures.
  • Serve as an educational resource for patients, families, and other members of the therapy staff.
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to appropriate state ethics laws.
  • Perform appropriate wound care and assessment to enhance surgical outcomes.
  • Provide documentation with appropriate progressions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stay up-to-date on appropriate protocols for patient population.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Current state PTA license.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • This position may require travel to and from satellite clinics as assigned.
