Position Overview:
As a Food and Beverage Server at Cheeseburger Restaurants, you will serve as a representative of our establishment, our brand, and our culinary offerings. As a server, you should be approachable, sociable, and possess excellent communication skills. Your unique personality should be an asset in creating a welcoming atmosphere. Being organized and able to think on your feet while maintaining composure is vital. You should demonstrate sensitivity to guest needs and have a keen sense of timing. Take pride in your appearance and show commitment to your responsibilities. Display integrity and honesty in all aspects of your work.
The serving team is responsible for making guests feel comfortable and valued. Their comprehensive knowledge of menu items allows them to enhance the dining experience by addressing inquiries and making recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Arrive punctually, dressed in the appropriate uniform, and ready to work.
2. Maintain a neat and clean appearance, adhering to the Standards of Dress Policy.
3. Communicate warmly with all guests, using clear and enthusiastic language, tone, and body language.
4. Be proactive and attentive; offer assistance before guests need to ask.
5. Approach each table promptly. If you cannot reach a table within two minutes, inform the guest that you will be with them shortly.
6. Familiarize yourself with guests' names and preferences, enhancing their experience.
7. Possess thorough knowledge of all menu items and be prepared to suggestively sell or answer questions.
8. Anticipate guests' needs, offering refills or assistance as necessary.
9. Serve beverages with care, ensuring proper handling and presentation.
10. Address any issues with orders promptly and professionally.
11. Ensure all guests are treated with respect and strive to exceed their expectations.
12. Maintain cleanliness and organization at your station and throughout the dining area.
13. Complete all required side work efficiently.
14. Process orders accurately in the Point of Sale System and handle payments responsibly.
15. Collaborate with team members to create a positive and efficient work environment.
16. Follow all safety and health regulations.
Essential Skills:
- Basic math and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety procedures.
- Ability to suggestively sell menu items.
- State health and/or alcohol compliance card as required.
