Norton Healthcare seeks a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Operations Director to oversee the planning, organization, delegation, coordination, and management of its imaging services department. This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring quality services are provided according to established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of performance improvement activities in the department, with a focus on sharing ideas about performance improvement and ensuring activities align with hospital goals.
  • Resolving human resource-related issues, including hiring, counseling, training, disciplinary actions, terminations, and salary recommendations for department staff.
  • Making accurate and timely decisions to ensure the successful operation of assigned departments, demonstrating conscientiousness and ensuring tasks are completed and deadlines met.
  • Coordinating department activities on a shift basis, managing responsibilities as assigned, assigning work for staff, scheduling working rotations, and maintaining holiday and vacation schedules.
  • Staying up-to-date with relevant federal, state, and professional standards, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and applicable regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and three years of diagnostic imaging experience. Alternatively, they may have an Associate's Degree and five years of diagnostic imaging experience, or seven years of experience without a required degree. Relevant certifications include RO (State Radiography License) and one of several options.
