Job Title: Speech Language Pathology Assistant

Join our team of dedicated professionals at Fall River Public Schools as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with our Speech Language Pathologists to provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to students with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Speech Language Pathologists in providing speech and language therapy services to students with communication disorders.
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and inform treatment plans.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports, including progress reports, activity logs, and treatment plans.
  • Support the setup and tracking of equipment required for accommodating disabilities or required supports.
  • Schedule activities and prepare materials as directed by the Speech Language Pathologist.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree from a college or university with 60 credits in a related program, or
  • A minimum of two years of related experience and/or training, or
  • An aggregate combination of experience and education in the field.
  • SLPA license
  • Ability to read and understand plans for services as written in student treatment and support plans.
  • Ability to communicate and record via routine required reports, records, and correspondence.
  • Able to read and interpret documents, including safety requirements, instructions for operating and maintaining equipment, and procedural instructions or manuals.
  • Able to understand instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and follow accordingly.
  • Ability to calculate in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Able to problem solve situations, including complex situations with multiple variables.

Supervises: N/A. Terms of Employment: Salary and benefits in accordance with the Fall River Educators Association Unit B Contract scale. Continued employment is contingent on work performance, program need, and funding.
