Assistant Plant Quality Manager

Location: Anderson, SC / Greenville, SC

Salary: $125,000 - $135,000 + bonus

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated professional to step into the role of Assistant Plant Quality Manager within a significant manufacturing facility. This position involves overseeing a variety of processes such as steel fabrication, stamping, and welding to ensure that product and process quality aligns with customer expectations. You will be responsible for establishing new quality benchmarks and monitoring ongoing improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and approve measurement systems for both new and existing projects.
  • Conduct audits and maintain effective relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Facilitate problem-solving initiatives utilizing root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Assist in product launches and engineering modifications.
  • Employ AIAG Core Tools including APQP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
  • Create inspection guidelines, visual aids, and checklists.
  • Engage in meetings and collaborate with SAP to uphold quality standards.
  • Generate and manage APQP documentation.
  • Organize and lead annual FMEA assessments.
  • Oversee supplier management and corrective action processes.
  • Supervise PPAP sample submissions and enforce safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years in quality roles within manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with automotive quality systems and stamping processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and manage multiple projects concurrently.
