Job Summary:

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Hendrick Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Your responsibilities will include participating in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery, and maintaining the standard of professional nursing. You will provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients with predictable outcomes based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Due to the broad range of medical conditions you will encounter, you must be well-versed in a variety of health conditions. You will also have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities, surveys, and improvement initiatives, while upholding the standards of the Texas Nurse Practice Act and practicing within your defined scope of practice.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Education: Graduate of an approved LVN program.
Minimum Work Experience: No previous experience required.
Required Licenses/Certifications: BCLS Certification and Licensed Vocational Nurse licensed in the State of Texas.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Input data into computer programs and familiarity with rehabilitation equipment.
Designated Driver: No.
OSHA Category: 1 - High Risk.
