Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Fetal Sonographer to join our dedicated team. This role is pivotal in delivering advanced diagnostic ultrasound services and interventions under the guidance of the Chief Imaging Technologist and in collaboration with physicians.
Sign-on Bonus: $10,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive range of diagnostic ultrasound and intervention procedures.
- Assist in the training and oversight of ultrasound Sonographers.
- Engage in clinical research studies and provide education to medical staff on sonographic technology.
Qualifications:
Education and Certification:
- Current registration as a diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) specializing in obstetrics and fetal echocardiography.
- Nuchal translucency certification through recognized programs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
A minimum of four (4) years of clinical experience in diagnostic obstetrical ultrasound is required.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position, 40 hours per week, with day shifts from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Knowledge and Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- In-depth knowledge of fetal anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Expertise in targeted ultrasound examinations and the severity staging systems for fetal conditions.
- Proficiency in high-resolution two-dimensional ultrasound scanning and Doppler examination.
- Ability to perform specialized fetal echocardiography and provide ultrasound guidance for invasive procedures.
Work Environment:
The Lead Fetal Sonographer will work within the Center for Fetal Therapy, Labor & Delivery, and the operating room, focusing on a patient population that includes a significant proportion of complicated pregnancies with fetal anomalies.
