Primary Care Physician

As a Primary Care Physician at OptumCare, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our multi-specialty group of hospitals, clinics, and providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary medical diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients, referring consultations for specialty care as needed.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans, utilizing managed care processes to ensure cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
- Collaborate with peers and employed specialists to provide comprehensive care to patients, including education and preventive care advice.
- Conduct timely and comprehensive medical documentation in EMR systems, adhering to company standards.
- Participate in business and patient care meetings, contributing to the development of strategies to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree.
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
- Tuberculosis screening and proof of immunity to certain diseases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency.
- Possess a working understanding and support of a managed care environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and maintain relationships with various health plans.
