ChristianaCare is seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Nurse Specialist to join our team in Newark, Delaware.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our Electrophysiology Lab. The successful candidate will provide procedural assistance and educate patients undergoing cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Circulate for pre- and post-procedures and perform RN to RN handoffs
  • Meet with patients and review their history, identify allergies, check medications needed for each case, answer questions the patient and family may have, and transport the patient to the EP Lab
  • Scrub in with the provider for all electrophysiology procedures, including pacemaker insertion, internal cardioverter defibrillator insertion, Bi-Ventricular devices, studies, and ablations
  • Set up, connect, and troubleshoot equipment, monitor and perform measurements on intracardiac recording system, operate stimulator and ablation generators
Requirements:
  • DE RN License or RN License from a compact state
  • BSN preferred
  • At least two years of RN experience
  • Experience in Electrophysiology or other procedural area preferred
  • Experience with EKG and Telemetry
  • BLS certification is required, ACLS preferred
