As part of our team, you will engage in defense technology projects and research activities, collaborating with experts in simulation technologies and military operations. Your contributions will be vital in assessing the capabilities of emerging military technologies and ensuring that the tools and methodologies employed are effective for informing decision-makers within the Department of Defense (DoD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and validate military models and entities of varying complexities within the AFSIM framework.
  • Utilize dynamic scripting techniques to simulate entity actions and interactions in AFSIM.
  • Develop and refine test scenarios that facilitate the assessment of actions, reactions, and interactions among entities in the AFSIM environment.
  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of MS&A test plans utilizing AFSIM.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts, including pilots and technologists, to analyze and troubleshoot AFSIM outcomes.
  • Collaborate with team members to conduct analysis of studies, interpret AFSIM results, and prepare comprehensive study reports.
  • Partner with agile AFSIM software development teams to enhance MS&A solutions.
  • Engage with study leads and stakeholders to ascertain study requirements and devise relevant technical strategies.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitive nature of customer-related requirements.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related technical field, along with at least 5 years of relevant analytical experience.
  • At least 3 years of practical experience in creating AFSIM scenarios and models for mission-level studies.
  • Applicants must undergo a U.S. Government background investigation and meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information, including a TS level U.S. DoD security clearance.
  • Possession of TS clearance with SCI eligibility is mandatory.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
  • Ability to apply scientific methodologies to diverse MS&A projects.
  • Experience in scripting or programming is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team settings.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Active security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level or higher.
  • Familiarity with tools such as STK, JMP, Python, C++, or R is advantageous.
  • Understanding of modern military systems, both domestic and international, is a plus.
