About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Commissioning Authority to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our Buildings practice, you will play a critical role in guiding the technical design of projects and ensuring that our clients' needs and expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the technical project process and scope of work within the electrical discipline, reviewing schedules and budgeted hours to ensure consistency.
  • Delegate tasks to project engineers and designers within the electrical discipline as appropriate, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standard.
  • Follow our quality management process, conducting project reviews and approvals before all QA/QC reviews are completed by the technical authority.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, able to understand and articulate project and design requirements, progress, and troubleshooting to clients and technical staff.
  • Coordinate well with all disciplines to fully integrate work and client requests into design.
  • Act as a supervisor and resource to the technical design team, supporting and assisting staff education and development.
  • Participate in the engineering/professional community to build personal knowledge and professional growth.
Requirements
  • Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum 10 years related industry experience or 5 years as a Stantec employee (internship counts as 1⁄2 year).
  • Professional certification in Commissioning (e.g. CCP, BCxP, QCxP, etc.).
