Department Overview:
The Cyber Assessments division within the Cyber Solutions Innovation Center is recognized as a leading source of top-tier cybersecurity experts. This department exemplifies the integration of exceptional professionals into diverse cyber assessment and testing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
The Cybersecurity Evaluator role is integral to our technical team, providing essential support to our clients. This position necessitates direct contributions to various projects.
Primary Duties:
- Collaborate closely with the Department Manager and leadership to shape and implement the department's mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
- Provide technical contributions to multiple tasks related to our client projects.
- Deliver expert guidance on cyber testing for various acquisition programs.
- Utilize vulnerability scanning tools and network security measures.
- Engage effectively with MITRE, government entities, and contractors, ensuring clear communication through writing, presentations, and discussions.
- Encourage collaboration and integration across different organizational units within the Cyber Solutions Innovation Center.
Essential Qualifications:
- Top Secret security clearance is mandatory for consideration.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools and intrusion detection systems.
- Strong understanding of various cybersecurity capabilities.
- Proficient in operational cybersecurity practices and commonly utilized technologies.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and across various stakeholders.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills.
- Experience in leading teams or managing projects.
- Enjoy a balanced work-life with a hybrid work schedule.
- This role requires a minimum of 50% on-site presence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience fostering connections across MITRE to enhance collaboration.
Clearance Requirements:
Top Secret clearance is required upon hiring, with the expectation to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance within one year.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $151,000 - $188,500 - $226,000 annually.
Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work environment.
