Salary expectations range from $118,800 to $132,000, depending on experience, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401(k) plan.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and manage the daily operations and maintenance of the regional wind power fleet. This encompasses the development and adherence to an operational budget, coordination of outages, and scheduling with the interconnect entity, scheduling coordinator, and trading desk. The role also involves identifying and resolving issues, implementing corrective actions, and tracking reliability concerns. Additionally, this position is accountable for managing onsite contractors and ensuring that services meet Constellation Energy's Wind Operations and Maintenance standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safe maintenance of wind turbines for all employees and contractors in the region, emphasizing compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining high environmental guidelines.
  • Conduct quality audits on wind turbine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, assist technicians, and implement fleet-wide improvements.
  • Be available for nontraditional operating hours to address maintenance and urgent issues, including managing landowner relationships, utility interactions, and maintenance support from wind turbine suppliers.
  • Safely execute high voltage switching at substations, transmission circuits, or wind turbine supplier transformer feeds in accordance with Constellation Energy's Lockout/Tagout program.
  • Effectively utilize the Work Order Management Process and write maintenance procedures. Design, test, implement, and revise operational procedures for Constellation Energy's Wind operations.
  • Assist in developing procedural changes to enhance turbine performance and document processes related to Wind Turbine Operations and Maintenance requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience, or an Associate degree in a technical field with at least 8 years of professional experience, including 3 years in an exempt-level role.
  • Strong understanding of electrical power generation, transmission, motors/generators, or process control discipline codes and standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment that includes climbing, walking long distances, and working in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Capability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in engineering or a technical field.
  • Experience in wind plant operations and familiarity with wind turbine systems.
  • Experience with high voltage maintenance and switching.
