Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Applied Music Instructor to join our faculty at Glendale Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching music courses and contributing to the development of our music program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach applied music courses, including class piano, music fundamentals, and music appreciation
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the college's music program goals
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of music program initiatives
Requirements
  • Master's degree in music or a related field
  • OR Bachelor's degree in music and Master's degree in humanities or a related field
  • OR equivalent experience and qualifications
  • Teaching experience at an accredited academic institution
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching music courses at the community college level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
