This division is responsible for managing our operational infrastructure and executing global real-time algorithmic trading from a central hub. This position presents a unique chance to engage with various facets of a premier quantitative trading organization, playing a vital role in ensuring seamless integration across functions.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with team members, as well as technologists, risk management professionals, and portfolio managers to oversee trading activities and technology systems, addressing alerts and irregularities as they arise. Your focus will be on the Asia market during evening hours.

The fast-paced nature of this environment requires a strong sense of urgency and adept problem-solving skills, as you will guide our systems through pre-market preparations, real-time trade execution, and post-session analysis. A commitment to continuous improvement in our processes and tools is essential, as is the development of automation solutions to enhance PDT's operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee trading activities and portfolios to ensure compliance with risk and trading parameters.
  • Facilitate the effective execution of algorithmic trading strategies, including rolls and hedging.
  • Diagnose outages and order discrepancies, collaborating with internal and external teams as needed.
  • Conduct market and trading analysis, proactively exploring new opportunities and providing strategic recommendations.
  • Prepare for and react to market events, corporate actions, and regulatory updates.
  • Assist in the deployment of new trading strategies and models.
  • Contribute to the design and development of internal tools, dashboards, and automation processes.
  • Support post-trade operations to ensure accurate clearing and record-keeping.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • 3-10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Interest in financial markets, asset classes, market structure, and industry developments.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, particularly in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with various technical skills, including but not limited to: Python, Flask, Java, C#, SQL, UNIX/Linux, networking, cloud technologies, and scheduling/orchestration.
The salary range for this position is between $125,000 and $225,000, exclusive of potential bonuses. Salary considerations may include years of experience, educational background, skill set, and other relevant factors.
