Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital is seeking a full-time Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for a day shift role. This position includes a rotating on-call schedule.Role Responsibilities:
The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is responsible for conducting diagnostic and interventional ultrasound examinations at a technical level that necessitates independent judgment, under the supervision of a qualified physician.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Radiologic Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or a related field, or completion of a training program recognized by the registry board (ARRT or ARDMS).
- Must be registered with ARRT or ARDMS upon hire.
- Vascular registry and certification required within two years of employment.
