Property Maintenance and Grounds Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of one year of experience in Property Management Maintenance. A successful background check is required. As a Property Maintenance and Grounds Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to uphold the standards of the Ignite community, ensuring the regular maintenance and cleanliness of the property grounds, facilities, streets, residences, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and well-kept living environment, consistently meeting Ignite's standards.
- Address work orders and conduct minor repairs on homes and facilities as necessary, including emergency repairs to avert damage or deterioration.
- Ensure that grounds and common area lawns are properly maintained, which includes regular weed treatment, trimming, raking leaves, planting flowers and shrubs, and other lawn care tasks as needed.
- Manage inventory effectively and maintain vacant sites, including securing strap-downs and removing trash and debris.
- Conduct water testing and perform maintenance duties related to well-water systems, sewer systems, or on-site water meters, if applicable, which may involve reading, repairing, and installing water meters.
- Ensure daily collection of trash and debris from common areas and streets, and empty common area trash containers as required.
- Clear snow from community streets, parking lots, building entrances, and other relevant areas when necessary.
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing tasks, including the safe operation of vehicles.
- Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- Exhibit knowledge of grounds maintenance, general repair techniques, plumbing, and electrical maintenance.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating power equipment, various tools, and commercial machinery.
- Be available to respond to community needs outside of regular business hours, which may require being on-call.
- Comply with fair housing regulations.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Pass a Criminal Background Check.
