Diesel Equipment Maintenance Specialist

The Senior Fleet Mechanic is a critical role at US Foods, Inc. responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our diesel equipment fleet. As a skilled mechanic with extensive experience in heavy-duty commercial diesel repair, you will be tasked with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing complex diesel equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel equipment to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative measures to extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Conduct road service calls and provide assistance as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Valid Class-A CDL license
- 7+ years of hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic
- Diesel Mechanic Certification or TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certification (or both)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing organizational needs
- A competitive salary range of $22-$38 per hour, depending on experience
