Job Overview

A reputable mid-sized law firm is seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Paralegal to enhance their expanding office in Century City. The ideal candidate will possess a Paralegal Certificate and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation defense within a mid-sized or larger legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct e-filing in both state and federal courts
  • Draft essential legal documents such as subpoenas and pleadings
  • Manage discovery processes including propounding and responding
  • Perform cite checking for legal briefs
  • Prepare comprehensive binders and exhibits
  • Track and calendar important deadlines and hearings
  • Organize and maintain exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of civil litigation defense experience in a mid-sized or larger firm
  • Proficient in state and federal e-filing; experience with appellate cases is advantageous
  • Possession of a Paralegal Certificate or a BPC 6450 compliant Declaration is mandatory
  • Strong preference for experience in Commercial Litigation, Insurance Defense, Medical Malpractice, or Labor & Employment
  • Trial experience is considered a plus

The firm provides a comprehensive benefits package along with flexible hybrid work schedules. Compensation is based on experience, with a targeted annual salary range of $90,000 - $105,000.
