Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Indianapolis Public Schools. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that students receive access to rigorous math curriculum and instruction through authentic engagement.

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist will diagnose and evaluate speech and language skills as related to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors. You will plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency of students with communication problems of organic and nonorganic etiology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and evaluate speech and language skills
  • Plan and conduct rehabilitative treatment programs
  • Provide counseling and guidance and language development therapy to disabled students
  • Administer, score, and interpret specialized hearing and speech tests
  • Develop and implement individualized plans for assigned students
  • Evaluate and monitor students
  • Review treatment plan and assess individual performance
  • Maintain records as required by law, IPS policy, and administrative regulations
  • Attend meetings and conferences and participate in other activities to promote professional growth
Requirements:
  • Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent from a college or university
  • Valid Indiana Teaching License in Communications Disorder
